The European Energy Transition in the urban setting has chosen the Positive Energy Districts path with the aim of achieving 100 PED’s in European cities by 2030 all working piecemeal towards net zero cities. This strategy has been discussed widely in relevant EU strategy forming platforms and COST groups and has resulted in various programs and Calls attached to the Framework Programmes and other conduits of funds. Climate Volunteers members have been active in all these medium and platforms taking active roles as national representatives and/or experienced specialists and researchers. Climate Volunteers members have  also been participants in a large number of Horizon Europe funded projects targeting PED implementations, such as MakingCity, NeutralPath and others.
