About Me
He received his BS degree in mechanical engineering department of Trakya University, Edirne, Turkey, in 1997 and MSc degree in energy management from New York Institute of Technology (NYIT), New York, USA in 2006.
Personal Experience:
He has 16 years’ experience in Energy in Built Environment and sustainable Energy sector. His experience to date includes involvement in public awareness projects, the development and implementation of energy and carbon management strategies for some of the largest property owners within the Turkey, the design and evaluation of and energy efficient construction for new developments. Caner is a BREEAM International Assessor and advisor for green building design and certification, and also member of Turkish Green Building Association. He has experience in carbon footprint calculations, sustainable energy action plan preparation and carbon strategy development for SME, corporations and local governments. He is holding Energy Management Certificate for industry to perform energy audits, feasibility studies and energy efficiency projects.
Some of the key projects he was involved are as follows:
- Developing Climate Change Strategy for Turkish Cement Industry for Turkish Cement Manufacturers’ Association
- Developing Science Based Targets for the companies mainly active in automotive, electronic goods, baverage and building materials sectors.
- Development and Coordination of H2020 Smart City & Communities Projects
- Carbon Footprint Calculation and Sustainable Energy Action Plans of several towns in Turkey
